Terms and Conditions for HansaWorld University Courses

These Terms and Conditions apply for all HansaWorld training courses and seminars listed in HansaWorld’s course catalogue ("a Course”), unless otherwise expressly stated by HansaWorld. If you wish to attend a Course, these Terms and Conditions are binding for you.

The term "HansaWorld” in these Terms and Conditions shall mean the HansaWorld office providing the Course you are making your booking for.

1. Personal Booking
The booking for a Course is personal, i.e the participant originally named in the booking can not be replaced with another participant without notification made to HansaWorld no less than 24 hours from the day of the course.

2. Applying for a Course
You can apply for a Course using the electronic registration system in HansaWorld University’s webpage (http://university.hansaworld.com) or by sending a request by post, fax, email or phone.
The booking application to a Course has to be submitted at least 3 (three) days before the actual date of the Course.
If you make a mistake in your booking, for example you make a booking for a wrong date or a Course, we recommend you to contact HansaWorld in order to get assistance for rebooking. For more information, please see clause 5 below ("Rebooking”).

3. Payment Terms
A Course shall be charged according to the HansaWorld Courses pricelist valid at the time the booking is made. The pricelist is available in HansaWorld course catalogue (can be provided on request) and on HansaWorld University’s website http://university.hansaworld.com. Unless otherwise expressly stated, all prices are exclusive of any Value Added Tax.

The price of the course(s) shall include:
a) for 7 and 5 hour courses: Course material, lunch, tea and coffee.
b) for 3 and 4 hour courses: Course material, tea and coffee.

HansaWorld will issue an invoice for the Course immediately after the booking is made and the terms indicated on the invoice shall apply as payment terms. Full payment must be received by HansaWorld in advance of the Course, unless otherwise expressly stated by or separately agreed with HansaWorld. In case of overdue payment, HansaWorld will be entitled to charge interest at a rate indicated on the invoice from the date on which the payment fell due until the date of payment.

4. Cancellation
HansaWorld is entitled to cancel a Course giving 3 days prior notice, if the minimum number of participants is not reached. In this case, HansaWorld shall offer alternative dates for the Course as soon as possible.

You can cancel a booking for a Course by giving prior written notice to HansaWorld, whereas the following shall apply:
a. If the cancellation notice is received by HansaWorld more than 14 days before the Course date, 100% of the Course price will be refunded.
b. If the cancellation notice is received by HansaWorld 7 to 14 days before tha Course date, 50% of the Course price will be refunded.
c. If the cancellation notice is received by HansaWorld less than 7 days before the Course date, the Course price will not be refunded and the whole price for the Course will be charged.

Instead of cancelling your booking for a Course, HansaWorld urges you to look into the possibilities of rebooking.

5. Rebooking
In case of rebooking to the same Course on a different date, the participant will be rebooked without any extra cost. Replacing the initial participant with another participant is not allowed, unless separately agreed with HansaWorld.

In case of reebooking to a different Course, the attendance in a Course will be charged according to the price of the Course chosen instead of the initially booked Course. It means that if the initially booked Course was cheaper than the Course chosen later, a refund will be given in the amount of the difference of the prices. If the initially booked Course was more expensive than the Course chosen later, the difference of the prices will be invoiced additionally.

6. Force Majeure
In case of Force Majeure, HansaWorld reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule a Course at any time and offer an alternative date for a Course, a credit or a refund without any liability for any consequential loss or damage.

7. Liability
HansaWorld makes the best effort to ensure that the Course trainers are appropriately qualified and trained. Still, HansaWorld is not liable for any loss, cost or expense or for any special or indirect or consequential damages arising from negligence, misconduct or lack of skill in delivering the Course(s).
