Company Profile


Sydney based, Anything Themeing designs and manufactures equipment and props for events and offers ready-to-hire props. The services they provide are staging, themeing, creative design, custom manufacture, conference sets, bars and many others to the events industry.

Before HansaWorld


Anything Themeing were using a combination MYOB and Excel spreadsheet templates to manage the business. Major growth in recent years brought along increased demands that the previous systems were not able to satisfy so they were forced to look for a more integrated solution.

General Manager Terri Ayliffe explains: "We had increasing issues with internal communication given that 12 months ago Anything Themeing was a three-person company. As the business grew, so did the need for more effective ways to share information about clients and events. Our inventory levels had more than tripled over this period and accurately tracking the stock became very important."

Choosing HansaWorld


Anything Themeing began searching for a solution that could provide needed functionality in a single package. With the requirements of handling rental and stock operations and running the system on Mac, they found this quite difficult.

“We looked at a popular solution Rental Point, but this was not an integrated package. With HansaWorld we can run the rental business with inventory, projects and accounts, as well as track our construction department's projects, and all this on our Mac computers,” says Terri Ayliffe. “We liked the fact that it was a single program, not five different purchases and support would be from a single supplier instead of many."

The Implementation Process


“The implementation and training were carried out at a realistic pace. The consultants would provide training, give us simple printed instructions and let us play on the test system,” explains Ayliffe.

“We appreciate the professional approach with managing our go-live date based on when we were ready and had enough grounding on the test system. We also liked that HansaWorld is not like other programs where you get a disk and load it up and have to change your business to suit the software. With HansaWorld the software is flexible enough to be tailored to the company.”

Anything Themeing have implemented the integrated modules for Rental, Job Costing, CRM, Accounts, Wide Area Networking, Group Resource Planner, Activities and Mobile PDA devices.

Future Plans


In the future Anything Themeing plan to increase the number of users and to expand their use of the system to include Fixed Assets which historically has been done on spreadsheets. Thus t Time budgets on jobs will be more accurately tracked in order to measure profitability and costs resulting in accurate estimating and planning for future projects.
