Business&Baltic: Oracle becomes more available

IT-companies Oracle and HansaWorld Latvia have signed a partnership agreement and broaden the range of products for small and medium-sized businesses.
The solutions delivered by the leading database management system developer (DBMS) Oracle have a high level of reliability and functionality. But the problem was that only large corporations standing on the one level with, for example, Latvenergo, were able to afford using systems like this. Oracle has not been dealing with small firms at all.
ERP and CRM developer HansaWorld in its turn is oriented on small and medium businesses. 11,000 companies are using HansaWorld products in Baltic now.
Yesterday both companies announced about the joining their efforts and delivering an ERP/CRM system including possibility of working with Oracle Databases and Oracle Business Intelligence to HansaWorld customers.
Consequently, as the companies assure, they have achieved three goals. Oracle becomes more available and is developing a new segment. HansaWorld has offered its customers a possibility to work with the powerful DBMS. Customers have obtained a possibility to use analytical subsystems with accessible management. For example, when a marketing manager comes to work he can see a sales report on a screen and immediately estimate whether it corresponds to the plan or not, and if it is time to raise the alarm.
Both companies’ representatives hope that the new opportunities will make ERP-solutions more popular among small and medium businesses in Baltic. Now there are only 55% of medium-sized businesses using such solutions in Latvia.
