HansaWorld ports its mobile Enterprise client to Maemo

STOCKHOLM, July 30, 2010 - HansaWorld, an award-winning provider of Integrated Business Platforms and mobility solutions today announced that it now has a fully functional mobile Enterprise client for Maemo mobile operating system, paving the way for a MeeGo-powered devices yet to be released by Nokia.

The highly anticipated MeeGo platform, announced in February 2010 by Intel and Nokia at the Mobile World Congress, is believed to become the operating system of all future high-end Nokia smartphones. Having been developed with joint efforts of Nokia and Intel, MeeGo will offer devices armed with Intel’s Atom processor the combined expertise from both Maemo and Moblin mobile platforms.

“Though Nokia is still in the process of bringing their first MeeGo devices to the market, it did not discourage us to ready our powerful mobile Enterprise client for it. We feel that having the fully functional Maemo client today will help us to quickly adapt it to the upcoming MeeGo-powered Nokia smartphones,” said Stefan Saxberg, International Mobile Solutions Manager for HansaWorld.

Currently, HansaWorld offers Enterprise mobile clients as well as a variety of standalone mobility solutions for reporting, POS and data logging for a number of mobile devices running Windows Mobile, Pocket PC, Symbian and iOS.
